 More Mathematics
Maple 10 continues to expand its mathematical
capabilities with new packages and
commands for specialized areas of
mathematics.
New features include:
- Implementations of new mathematical functions:
Heun functions, spherical harmonics
functions, Wright omega, and n-dimensional Dirac
- The PolynomialIdeals
package contains tools
for working with commutative polynomial
ideals
- The RegularChains package
provides tools for triangularization and solving
systems of polynomial equations
- Hardware computations can now by done with
complex numbers
- Numerical differentiation,
including differentiation of mathematical functions where
no symbolic derivative is known
- Fractional (non-integral) and abstract order
derivatives in closed form
or as finite sums
